Thanks to a grant from the USDA, the Tomato Products Wellness Council is rolling out a promotion with retail partners to promote a SNAP (and other food assistance programs) positive cookbook. It was written by a diverse group of high profile Registered Dietitians with the goal to help struggling families create Delicious, Healthy and Affordable Meals.
If you’re interested in being involved, please reach out to Alec Wasson, Director and Chief Tomato Evangelist for the Tomato Products Wellness Council. Opportunities for partnership and collaboration start with in-store promotions: end caps, shelf talkers, signage with QR codes, etc, and can also include social media promotions, instore cooking demos, ads in magazines, etc. We will work with you to create a plan that works for your stores, and which will ultimately help drive sales, and help American families.
In a recent promotion with the Sacramento Food Co-op they provided an end cap featuring one of the recipes from the cookbook, with signage, and recipe cards featuring QR codes to download the free cookbook. A member of Tomato Wellness also agreed to a promotional price on their products during the promotion, and sales increased 300% during the course of the promotion.
